Fresno Cactus and Succulent Society

Founded on February 17, 1965, the club was named the Fresno Su-Cacti Society. It was renamed Fresno Cactus and Succulent Society in the 1980s. Our mission is to promote knowledge, study, and interest and cacti and succulent plants through educational programs, public exhibits, a public garden, and sharing of this common interest. We are dedicated to the environmental protection and preservation of natural habitats, and propagation of these fascinating and unique plants, many of which are threatened and endangered in their native habitats. We exchange ideas and experiences among interested persons to foster greater knowledge about plant development and cultivation and to encourage use of succulent plants in public and private gardens through active support and participation in programs, field trips, and projects.
